Job Description:
We are working with an international chemical manufacturing
company seeking a Maintenance and Engineering Manager in the DFW
metroplex. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects
of maintenance, reliability, and engineering activities within
their largest US manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of
skilled professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to uphold
operational excellence and drive continuous improvement
initiatives.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive
maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and availability of
equipment and facilities.
Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
activities to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance.
Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and contractors effectively
to achieve departmental goals.
Provide strategic direction and technical expertise to the
engineering team in support of process optimization, equipment
upgrades, and capital projects.Lead the design, installation, and
commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring compliance
with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Drive innovation and cost-saving initiatives through the adoption
of advanced technologies and sustainable engineering solutions.
Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing rigorous safety
protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting employee
training and awareness.Ensure compliance with environmental
regulations, safety standards, and industry guidelines, mitigating
risks and liabilities associated with chemical manufacturing
operations.
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, supply chain, and
other departments to streamline workflows, resolve operational
issues, and optimize resource utilization.Act as a liaison with
external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, suppliers,
and engineering firms, to facilitate project execution and
regulatory compliance.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess
maintenance effectiveness, equipment reliability, and operational
efficiency.Analyze data trends, identify areas for improvement, and
present actionable insights and recommendations to senior
management.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical,
Electrical, or related field). Advanced degree or professional
certification is a plus.- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in
maintenance and engineering management within the chemical
manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical proficiency in process equipment,
instrumentation, and control systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor,
motivate, and develop a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management
abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and
familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
