• Pay Rate: $33.81 per hourPosition Summary:As an RS Avionics/Electrical Tech II, you will provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimal schedule impact. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality while adhering to daily work plans.Key Responsibilities:
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Demonstrate technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
• Installation and Testing: Perform the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
• Repair Techniques: Demonstrate effective repair techniques using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.
• Documentation: Ensure all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.Additional Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Testing: Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  • Adaptability: Adapt to sudden schedule changes and support aircraft certification and final phase testing.Qualifications:
    • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Experience: Four (4) years' experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related experience.
    • Preferred: A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT certifications are preferred.Other Requirements:
    • Troubleshooting: Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems.
    • Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Physical: Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
