Location:Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment:Lab-AdmininistrationShift:First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours:40Summary:The Laboratory Operations Manager will provide administrative and operational oversight and support to designated sections of the Clinical Laboratory as shown on the organizational chart, in collaboration with and under the authority of the administrative director. The Laboratory Operations Manager facilitates Our Promise by ensuring an environment of safety, integrity, caring, and innovation focused on improving the health of patients requiring laboratory services. The position is responsible for general working knowledge of the theory of all methodologies within the scope of service assigned and have skills necessary to ensure regulatory compliance is met and quality/safety initiatives are engaged. He or she will work together with the administrative director to supervise physical, financial, and human resources effectively and efficiently and will collaborate with laboratory supervisors and technical consultants to contribute recommendations for strategic planning. Participate in laboratory rounds, and medical center and organizational committees, as needed, and provide technical staff support where indicated and appropriate. Laboratory and Corporate Compliance, as outlined by the OIG and CMS, is an important aspect of our laboratorys environment. The Laboratory Operations Manager is expected to be knowledgeable of, contribute through recommendations and best practices, and behave in accordance with the Laboratory and Medical Center Compliance Plans. Individual will serve as a role model for professionalism.Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or an appropriate biological, chemical, or physical science from an accredited program.
  • Master's degree in business or healthcare management preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience performing laboratory testing in a clinical setting to include those tests classified as waived, moderate, or high complexity and four years of supervisory experience preferred.Certification/Licensure:
