Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, we want you to join our Defense Systems Sector as an Aircraft Mechanic 4. You will report to our Ft. Worth, TX site, however the position will be performed at OCONUS locations. These locations include: Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon

You will be expected to deploy to one or more of these locations for 4 month deployments with one month home and can also be expected to travel between countries as contract requirements dictate.
Your duties include:

• Troubleshooting, repairs, inspects, and services aircraft and engine systems. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions.
• Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
• Perform 100 hour and progressive aircraft inspections in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance manuals and supporting technical data.
• Maintains FAA required records, manuals and inspection forms.
• Requires an airframe and power license Specific Duties:
  • Execute line-maintenance/flight operations/inspections for overseas deployed Cessna C172 and Cessna Caravan 208B/EX aircraft including all electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, fault isolation & repair, parts replacement, line repairable unit (LRU) replacement, calibration tasks, testing, engine repairs and/or replacements & proper documentation in aircraft forms
  • Conduct progressive maintenance & inspections on aircraft at remote OCONUS
  • Service aircraft & phase inspections
  • Use technical data to diagnose & solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems
  • Remove & install aircraft components conducting functional tests of repaired components & systems
  • Supervise & perform aircraft jacking, lifting & towing operations
  • Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems& historical reports to ensure complete documentation
  • Inventory & maintain aircraft equipment
  • Assist other functional team members with any associated aircraft maintenance actions to ensure mission success NGLinkedDS
    
    Qualifications:
    
    
    • A High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of direct relevant experience in Aircraft Maintenance
    • Ability to quickly obtain a US Passport
    • Airframe and Powerplant Certification
    • Ability to travel in accordance with the requirements to OCONUS level three locations
    • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications:
      • A Current Secret Clearance
      • A current US Passport
      • Textron Cessna C172 and C208B/EX Caravan experienced
      • Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbo-propeller engine experience
      • DoD maintenance program experience
