We are seeking a Flight Dynamics Engineer to join our team and work on the analysis and design of algorithms, sensors, and actuators that enhance the stability and performance characteristics of flying vehicles.Responsibilities:--- Design and analyze flight algorithms, sensors, and actuators to enhance aircraft stability and performance. --- Perform numerical analysis and software development for modeling and simulation of aircraft flight mechanics. --- Contribute to the development of aircraft simulations and control systems. --- Conduct research and development in the areas of aeromechanics, flight dynamics, and control. --- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of projects.Requirements:--- Ph.D. in Engineering from an accredited college or university in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline -- with an emphasis in aeromechanics, flight dynamics, modeling and simulation, and control. Will consider ME or MEng w/experience. (Not interested in people with -- experience only in Finite Element analysis.) --- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and the ability to use calculations, models, and simulations to predict and understand how objects behave under various physical conditions. --- Broad and comprehensive knowledge of aircraft flight mechanics, simulation, and control. Background in rotorcraft (helicopter) and VTOL (vehicle take-off and landing) aircraft is preferred. --- Proficiency in one or more scientific or engineering programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Fortran, C, or C . --- Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. --- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.At our company, we offer a dynamic work environment with exciting projects and opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology.
