As a key member of our applications team, you will work closely with our sales department, customers, and internal teams to provide technical expertise, support, and innovative solutions during the pre-sales and quotation phases. You will play an essential role in solving complex technical challenges, identifying product improvements, and ensuring the smooth progression of the sales process. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical evaluation stage of the sales process, providing expert solutions and recommendations to support the Applied Sales Managers. Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless sales journey. Educate and train distributors on HVAC products, enhancing their understanding and ability to sell effectively. Collaborate closely with the Product team and Sales team to ensure alignment and drive business growth. Provide troubleshooting support to the Technical Services Department, resolving technical issues during the applications process. Create and maintain applications bulletins, supplements to installation manuals, and service bulletins for internal and customer reference. Work with leadership through video conferences and meetings to drive product and technical improvements. Assist in the development of new products, product modifications, and testing of existing products to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred (HVAC, Engineering, or related field is a plus). 5 years of field-based HVAC experience, including installation, service, controls, customer interactions, and quoting. Experience with VRF systems, lab testing, or related product testing is a plus. Strong understanding of HVAC applications, system design, and utilization techniques. Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and contract documents. Solid knowledge of construction processes, HVAC systems, and associated products. High attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and problems and propose effective solutions.
