Seeking: Aircraft-Grade Welding Experience Proficient in TIG
welding on stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel, and titanium.
Precision with Thin Metals Experience fusing thin metal; ideal
background includes sheet metal fabrication. Team-Oriented with
Independent Work Capability Strong collaboration skills with the
ability to operate independently when needed. Position Summary: The
TIG Welder performs manual welding operations using established
methods and equipment on a variety of stainless steel materials,
supporting fabrication and repair processes. Work is performed
under the supervision or mentorship of a more experienced team
member. Primary Responsibilities: Perform various approved TIG
welding techniques to meet engineering and quality standards. Read,
interpret, and apply information from blueprints, weld symbols, and
work instructions. Adjust welding parameters within procedure
limits to ensure conformance. Log work and maintain required
documentation accurately and timely. Inspect and process welded
components according to specifications. Secondary Responsibilities:
Keep work area clean, organized, and free from foreign object
debris (FOD). Maintain required certifications for stainless steel
and Inconel welding. Follow safety protocols and meet performance
expectations. Develop familiarity with new assignments and achieve
proficiency. Support basic equipment setup as needed. Apply lean
manufacturing principles and suggest process improvements. Comply
with all company policies and quality procedures. Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of TIG
welding experience with stainless steel, Inconel, and titanium.
Vocational training or apprenticeship in welding preferred. Must
obtain AWS D17.1 certification within 6 months of hire. Experience
in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), especially with aerospace or
precision components. Capable of reading mechanical drawings and
welding to blueprint specifications. Proficiency welding thin-wall
Type 321 stainless steel tubing (0.028”–0.035” wall thickness;
diameters 0.25”–1.5”). Familiarity with wire and filler materials
for stainless steel alloys. Strong math, communication, and
teamwork skills. Must pass a vision test (Jaeger 1, Titmus 2a,
Ishihara for color). Able to interpret technical documents and use
job-related software and systems. Mental and Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Occasionally required to move materials up to 25 lbs. Regular
exposure to argon gas and extreme heat during welding operations.
Must be able to operate welding tools and machines effectively and
