Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology for the packaging, corrugating, sheeting and paper-converting industries.Role SummaryAs Director, Business Development - AEC - (Architecture + Engineering + Construction) you will have the opportunity and responsibility for relationship development, project development, sales campaigns, and business planning for clients within the Food, Beverage, Life Science, Home and Personal Care Markets. You will lead clients through business case development, front end planning, and project development for manufacturing and distribution focused capital investments.Success in this role is measured by your ability to win new business, expand existing relationships, deliver rewarding client experiences, and contribute to scaling our AEC business through market development, business development planning, client acquisition, and continually expanding our service and solution offerings.Responsibilities

• Provide client, technical, and project delivery leadership in the development of capital projects for the Food, Beverage, Life Science, Home and Personal Care markets.
• Lead and collaborate on the development of front-end programming, planning, schematic design, and preconstruction of projects to be delivered as design-build or EPC solutions.
• Develop and execute client development and sales strategy to achieve business goals.
• Develop long-standing client relationships based on trust and technical excellence.
• Expertise in client development, project development, and project delivery.
• Focus on overall project success related to scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and operational performance.
• Analyze and develop specialized technical solutions to meet client objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other AEC professionals.
• Lead and coordinate market and trend analysis; client and business development planning.
• Communicate relevant information on targeted clients, contacts, and opportunities.
• Lead and/or assist on client requests for proposals and marketing campaigns.Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience leading the development, design and construction of facilities.
  • Leadership skills with a drive to grow local and national clients.
  • The ability to structure and lead development of design, design-build, and EPC projects.
  • An understanding of facility operational requirements and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future market trends and improve project outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • A working knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Experience in the development, design, and delivery of various project types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel is required for client meetings and presentations.
