Director of Quality provides leadership for Quality, Continuous
Improvement, and Lean Philosophies to the site leadership team,
business units, and functional departments. They lead the
implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production
Part Approval as part of new product introduction processes. They
also foster synergy with other ESA sites for Process consistent
Quality Management System, methodologies for measuring and
improving customer satisfaction, continual improvement, and Lean
philosophies, aligning with the site strategic plan and objectives.
Additionally, they establish the site Management System and oversee
third-party registrations.Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Management System: Establish, implement, and maintain a
Management System that meets ISO 9001, AS 9100, and CMMI standards,
including defining Quality Policy and Objectives, implementing
review processes, ensuring compliance with standards, providing
process documentation and measurement, reporting on system
effectiveness, maintaining registrations, and facilitating process
mapping and continual improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop and sustain systematic process
management and improvement initiatives. Act as Executive Champion
for Lean Six Sigma, Management System Development, Root Cause and
Corrective Action, and Internal Auditing, supporting other
improvement activities like HPWO, PMCOE, and Engineering Process
Improvement, providing necessary support for projects.
- Customer Satisfaction: Create and monitor customer satisfaction
metrics, analyze feedback, align metrics with corporate and site
standards, communicate expectations organization-wide, and identify
process improvements based on customer input.
- Lean Philosophies: Drive lean practices through Value Stream
Mapping, 5S, visual factory development, Kaizen events, and
statistical data analysis to eliminate waste and standardize
processes.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities: Facilitation
skills, experience with supplier and customer interactions,
participation in external quality organizations, process
improvement experience, proficiency with QC and QM tools, QMS
experience, SPC, Design of Experiments, ISO 9001, AS 9100, AS 9102,
AS 9103, CMMI requirements, Bachelor's degree (Master's
preferred).Experience: Over 10 years in functional and management
roles, 1-3 years in the industry.Certifications/Licenses: Certified
