Job PurposeThe purpose of the Behavior Technician at The Missing
Peace Autism Therapy Center (TMP) is to apply behavioral principles
consistently in all interactions with clients. Behavior Technicians
work under the direction of the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior
Analyst) to implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs.)Why You Will

Technician, you will provide ABA Therapy in a play based,
naturalistic setting. Our therapists, BCBAs and management work

Minimum Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements and carries out processes and procedures to improve
the quality of life of clients as it relates to their individual
behavior support plan
- Supports all members of the staff and assists with ideas,
suggestions, work, and cleaning duties
- Actively participates in staff training programs designed to
increase overall skills, including but not limited to Registered
Behavior Technician training
- Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with
management, parents, behavior analysts, Lead Behavior Technicians,
Registered Behavior Technicians, and clients
- Becomes fluent in the understanding and application of each
child's Behavior Support Plan
- Assists in creating instructional materials
- Attends and participates in meetings and other TMP sponsored
events
- Observes records, and reports the condition and behavior of the
clients, including maintaining daily records
- Functions as an active member of the treatment team
- Works with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community
to implement client's behavior support plan
- Consistently implements behavior plans to reduce client's
maladaptive behavior and promote desired appropriate behaviors
- Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may
include client physical aggression as directed in the Behavior
Support Plan
- Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a
detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
- Follows TMP policies and procedures
- Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple
children at one time, when necessary Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Specialized knowledge in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with children, preferably
special needs
- Proven ability to work within a team, leadership and problem
solving abilities
- Strong core values, such as integrity, loyalty, trust,
leadership, team work are required
- Exhibits positive and proactive approaches to problem solving
Working Conditions:Behavior Technician is required to be available
to work any schedule within TMP's core business hours of
8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. TMP Employees' first 90 days of
employment are considered an Introductory Period. Employees must
successfully complete the Introductory Period, which is also
considered a new hire training period. All TMP employees will be
considered full time if scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more
and are eligible to earn Paid Time Off (PTO) upon successful
completion of the 90-day Introductory Period. TMP employees who
work 5 hours or more per day will be given a 30-minute lunch
break.Physical Requirements:Behavior Technicians must have the
ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and reach, as well as
be able to effectively handle client physical behaviors to ensure
overall safety of client and self.The work environment
