Here's your chance Job Description: The Lockheed Martin Grand Prairie based Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) software engineering team is looking for engineering in support of the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) program. This business area effort represents a revolutionary approach to ground area defense weapon systems in providing a multi-tiered mechanism for safeguarding our allies assets. The selected Software Engineers will be expected to develop advanced solutions using C++ in a Linux environment. The candidate will experience all phases of software development ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing and possibly flight testing. The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications: Experience in software engineering and software development in C/C++ Experience in navigating Linux, CENTOS Ability to work in a team environment Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to solving problems Desired Skills: Experience with Data Distribution Services (DDS), parallel programming, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Working knowledge of Agile methods, modern C++ design, boost libraries Background in coding for multiple thread and processes and protecting access. Knowledge of Visual Studios, Rhapsody and GNU.
