Job Description:
QC INSPECTORFort Worth, TX JOB DESCRIPTION:The QC Inspector
performs the inspection of components, electromechanical and
mechanical parts. Perform visual, dimensional, and gauge
inspections and record all required data. Interpret results of
visual, gauge and dimensional inspections and recommend appropriate
action in accordance with referenced specifications, accepted
industry, and shop practices. Document and test the required
inspection of components. Perform required process control actions
to ensure materials meet minimum requirements,Duties will also
include supporting projects and initiatives to ensure optimal plant
performance, efficiency, and safety.Responsibilities:Major Duties -
Drive competencies in the following areas:
- Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety
procedures.
- Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and
follow work instructions.
- Perform WIP, Incoming, and Machine/Piece Part Inspections.
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, etc. to obtain
material and dimensional information with minimal supervision.
- Perform required tests and inspections per process
specifications.
- Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding
the performance of QC inspections.
- Set up, operate, and maintain inspections as needed.
- Makes sure inspections/assignments are processed promptly as
they arrive from receiving and other departments.
- Inspection, tag & release of the materials.
- Process Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
transactions.
- Process Defective Material Report (DMR) transactions.
- Conduct inspection techniques and processes to qualify supplier
materials.
- Complete paperwork and updates database so that DMR s and RMAs
can be tracked.
- Check and record DMR and RMA inventory in stock on a regular
basis.
- Complete inspection paperwork and update specific databases
(SysPro, QCS, etc).
- Work with or take direction from supervisor as required.
- Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition (5S
requirements).
- Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.
- Makes sure inspections/assignments are processed promptly as
they arrive from receiving and other departments.
- Delivers materials/parts to the appropriate warehouse.
Preferred requirements:
- Advanced ability to analyze mechanical drawings, dimensional
tolerances and data comprehension (GD&T).
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers,
micrometers, gauges, engineering scales, etc.)
- Excellent team player with ability to work independently and
perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while
maintaining excellent customer service.
- Excellent communications skills to effectively and accurately
communicate with internal and external customers.
- Adequate Computer skills including Microsoft Office tools,
Outlook, and NPI computer/software databases.Required Education and
Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 plus years of job
related experience
- Possess a mid to high-level technical knowledge
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Unassisted lifting capability: under 50 lbs. Associated topics:
compliance, construction, examiner, inspection, inspector,
inspector surveyor, instrument, rpls, survey, violation
