for all.Summary:Direct the planning and designing of operational
strategies and tactics that will assist multiple hospital
accreditations, licensed programs, and certified service lines
across Children's Health System of Texas. Assist both the Manager
of Accreditation and Sr. Director in overall continual regulatory
readiness and compliance with all standards and regulations of
accreditation, certification and licensure for multiple hospitals
and several affiliates. Serve as a key contributor to all site
visits for The Joint Commission, Joint Commission Resources and
other regulatory agencies such as Centers for Medicaid and
Medicare. Participate in and coordinate ongoing readiness
activities for the healthcare system. Serves as a conduit between
operations, corporate services, and department leadership in
assisting/developing the accreditation and regulatory readiness
strategic direction set forth by leadership.Responsibilities:
- Maintain and sustain the regulatory readiness program that
continually analyzes current performance and designs, and
implements corrective interventions as needed for our healthcare
systems; to include collaboration with various leaders across the
health system in the continuing to sustain and develop disease
specific certified programs and other divisional and/or program
specific certifications. Provide consultative communication,
feedback and decision-making to ensure the accreditation team is
focused, committed and capable of producing expected results.
Facilitate coordination of other regulatory activities as deemed
necessary that may include, but are not limited to, DSHS, CAMTS,
FACT, etc.
- Oversee the overall accreditation program by developing and
executing an ongoing survey readiness plan for all clinical
operations of Children's Health Children's Medical Center (e.g.
Periodic Performance Review Leads, Auditors, Tracer Teams, etc).
Coordinate day-to-day activities with the Accreditation Managers
and provide direction in achieving established strategic goals by
the Sr. Director and Executive Leadership.
- Provide and direct ongoing communication of regulatory
standards to all levels of constituents across the Children's
Health with emphasis on functional importance of regulatory
compliance while remaining focused on quality and patient safety
while striving towards sustainability. Perform in-service education
for clinical and medical staff as requested by clinical leadership
and other key members of the medical staff.
- In collaboration with the Sr. Director participates in and
represent divisional activities in various designated health
systems committee(s) and task teams with primary responsibility of
directing the preparation and facilitation of the bi-weekly senior
executive accreditation steering committee meetings.How You'll Be
Successful:WORK EXPERIENCEAt least 7 years Clinical experience in
hospital setting RequiredAt least 3 years Supervisory experience in
hospital operations PreferredComprehensive knowledge of Joint
Commission Standards; Experience in gathering, analyzing,
summarizing and presenting data/findings effectively and
accurately; Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams;
Experience in implementing and maintaining change in organizations;
Experience with, and knowledge of, a variety of approaches, tools
and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving
operational process problems RequiredExperience with meeting
hospital-related requirements, including but not limited to The
Joint Commission, EMTALA, CMS and HIPAA RequiredEDUCATIONFour-year
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience RequiredGraduate or
professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience
