Registered Behavior Technicians work under the direction of the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP's.)Benefits:Medical, Dental & VisionLife, LTD & STDSupplemental Insurances401kPTO accrualAnnual CEU AllowanceReferral programProfessional development assistanceFlexible scheduleElectronic EMRIf you are interested in learning more about joining the Missing Peace family, our culture, or immediate and future opportunities, please visit us at www.missingpeacetherapy.comThank you in advance for considering The Missing Peace Therapy!Minimum Duties and ResponsibilitiesImplements and carries out processes and procedures to improve the quality of life of clients as it relates to their individual behavior support planSupports all members of the staff and assists with ideas, suggestions, work and cleaning dutiesActively participates in staff training programs designed to increase overall skillsCommunicates in a professional and respectful manner with management, parents, behavioranalysts, Lead Behavior Technicians, Behavior Technicians, and clientsBecomes fluent in the understanding and application of each child's Behavior Support PlanAssists in creating instructional materialsAttends and participates in meetings and other TMP sponsored eventsObserves records, and reports the condition and behavior of the clients, including maintaining daily recordsFunctions as an active member of the treatment teamWorks with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community to implement client's behavior support planConsistently implements behavior plans to reduce client's maladaptive behavior and promote desired appropriate behaviorsEffectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may include client physicalaggression as directed in the Behavior Support PlanCompletes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistentand timely mannerFollows TMP policies and proceduresOpenly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, whennecessaryAdhere to the Registered Behavior Technician ethics requirementsAdhere to the Registered Behavior Technician supervision requirementsRenew credential as required by the BACB guidelines on an annual basisQualifications:Minimum of Bachelor's Degree preferredSpecialized knowledge in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)Minimum of 2 years experience working with children, preferably special needsProven ability to work within a team, leadership and problem-solving abilitiesStrong core values, such as integrity, loyalty, trust, leadership, teamwork are requiredExhibits positive and proactive approaches to problem solvingSuccessfully completed the requirements for Registered Behavior Technician credentialWorking Conditions:Registered Behavior Technician is required to be available to work any schedule within TMP's core business hours of 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Registered Behavior Technician may be asked to volunteer some weekends to assist with respites or community events. TMP Employees' first 90 days of employment are considered an Introductory Period. Employees must successfully complete the Introductory Period, which is also considered a new hire training period. All TMP employees will be considered full time if scheduled to work 32 hours per week or more and are eligible to earn Paid Time Off (PTO) upon successful completion of the 90-day Introductory Period. TMP employees who work 6 hours or more per day will be given a 30-minute lunch break.Physical Requirements:Registered Behavior Technicians must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and reach, as well as be able to effectively handle client physical behaviors to ensure overall safety of client and self.
