Parkland Community Health Plan's (PCHP's) Systems Analyst is
responsible for application solution requirements analysis, and the
ongoing implementation and support of clinical and business
applications utilized across PCHP, including maintenance of
application workflow configurations. May also be engaged to assist
in RFP preparation, review, and solution selection activities.
-Minimum SpecificationsEducation- Associate Degree in Information
Systems / Computer Science or related discipline, or in healthcare
related field is required.- Bachelor's degree in Information
Systems / Computer Science or related discipline, or in healthcare
related field preferred. -Experience- Four (4) years of progressive
experience implementing and supporting clinical or business
solutions in a healthcare environment, preferably in managed-care
organization.- Four (4) years of experience assessing business
needs, capturing requirements, and translating into relevant IT
solutions.- Four (4) years of experience creating technical
requirements documentation.- Experience with data interfaces /
interchanges between healthcare entities.- Specific experience
utilizing or supporting Cognizant QNXT or CCA solutions preferred.-
Specific experience supporting managed-care member or provider
portals preferred. -Equivalent Education and/or Experience: n/a -
-Skills or Special Abilities- Able to work with business and
clinical stakeholders to understand and document specific solution
requirements, including rules-based workflows, inbound and outbound
data integrations, exception handling processes, and reporting.-
Able to learn and adopt various vendor application configuration
tools- Familiar with healthcare interoperability rules and how they
influence the solutions that are implemented across healthcare
organizations, preferably in a managed-care organization- Skilled
problem solver who is able to troubleshoot issues and help in
identifying root cause- Able to work collaboratively with vendor
technical support teams, data integration teams, and other
technical support teams to assess and resolve issues- Must have
excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to
present documented requirements and proposed solutions- Strong
organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing
projects and deadlines- Customer service orientation and ability to
understand end-user needs- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel,
Word, and Outlook -Responsibilities1. Works with stakeholders
across organization to clearly define IT solution requirements and
assists in the selection and / or design of new or modified
applications across the PCHP operating environment.2. Documents and
presents proposed IT solutions, gathering input and refining final
project proposals3. Applies specific healthcare interoperability
requirements and standards in the ongoing evaluation of proposed or
modified solutions, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory
mandates.4. Supports the design and operation of data interfaces
between PCHP and its trading partners/vendors.5. Provides ongoing
implementation and support services across adopted applications,
including design and configuration, testing, training, monitoring,
and end-user support.6. Works with assigned Project Managers to
define and fulfill specific implementation steps relating to
design, configuration, testing, and training of new solutions.7.
Collaborates with Parkland Health IT and other business partners /
vendors to ensure cross-system effectiveness and thorough
investigation of reported issues. - - -Parkland Community Health
