Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401K Job Details Responsibilities As a Permanent Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload that includes preparing and filing motions, briefs, pre-trial briefs, and BIA appeals. You will be responsible for conducting thorough research, including the examination of country conditions, to support your cases. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in brief writing and will have experience with I-589, asylum affidavit, and asylum witness statements. You will represent clients in asylum court and immigration court, providing exceptional legal counsel and support throughout the process. The Permanent Attorney will also collaborate with colleagues, contribute to strategy discussions, and maintain the highest ethical standards. Qualifications The successful candidate will be Texas Barred and will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will have a solid background in Immigration Law, Asylum Law, and Removal Defense. You will have proven experience in asylum representation, including defensive asylum, affirmative asylum, gender-based asylum, gender-based persecution, and gender-based violence. You will have a proven track record of successfully preparing and filing motions, briefs, pre-trial briefs, and BIA appeals. You will have extensive experience with I-589, asylum affidavit, and asylum witness statements. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to present compelling arguments in court.
